Melissa Frost (b. 1981, Los Angeles, USA) studied at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Her works with drawing and painting straddle the worlds of the fictional and “the lived,” exposing the boundaries between the two as a blurry line as the language of fiction mirrors the language of fact. Frost also works as a founding artist of Slayer Pavilion, an artist-run biennial pavilion that ran as a shadow event during the 2007 Istanbul Biennale and the 2010 Berlin Biennale.
